Everything you need to know about Lumo

Fares are calculated based on time, distance, and pickup/drop-off locations with regional fuel cost considerations. All fares are tax inclusive and shown upfront before your ride -- no hidden fees or surge pricing. Additional charges may apply for extra stops ($2.00 per stop) or wait time ($5.00 per 10 minutes).

Yes. In compliance with Niagara Region Transportation Network Company by-laws, riders must pay the total fare before the trip begins. This ensures transparency and confirms the trip cost for both riders and drivers.

Absolutely. Lumo complies with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005. Our drivers accommodate riders with disabilities and accept service animals as required by law. Assistance is available upon request.

All drivers must hold a valid Ontario G licence, pass criminal background and vulnerable sector checks, carry $2,000,000 CAD minimum liability insurance with a valid 6A endorsement, and ensure their vehicles meet Ontario Safety Standards.

Report lost items promptly through the app or by contacting support@getlumo.ca. Unclaimed items may be turned over to a local police station within 30 days. Please note that Lumo is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Lumo complies with PIPEDA and applicable Ontario privacy regulations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. We collect only what is necessary for service delivery and do not sell personal information. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time.

You can apply through our website by clicking 'Drive' in the navigation and selecting 'Apply to Drive.' You'll need to provide personal details, vehicle information, insurance documents, driver's licence, TNC licence, and a safety inspection certificate. Our team reviews applications promptly.
